Save The Date: Nigeria Clean Cooking Forum 2024

The Honourable Minister of Environment Balarabe Abbas Lawal has approved October 9-10, 2024 to hold Nigerian Clean Cooking in Abuja. The Nigeria Clean Cooking Forum is an important, annual gathering of stakeholders working to accelerate the production, dissemination, and use of cleaner, more effici...nt cookstoves and fuels. The Forum is organized by the Nigerian Alliance for Clean Cooking in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment (FME), Nigeria Energy Support Programme (NESP), and other key stakeholders.

The two-day Forum brings together key policymakers, private sector leaders, research institutions, civil society stakeholders, users of clean cookstoves/fuel, media, and international partners to discuss the prioritization of inclusion in clean cooking towards sustainable energy transition. The Forum will take stock of current status of clean cooking activities in the country. It will discuss how to promote innovations, unlock investment, empower communities, and advance implementation of the National Clean Cooking Policy, among others. During the forum, an exhibition of clean cooking technologies and fuels will take place concurrently with discussions. B2B networking opportunities will also be promoted.
